Part of the urban ensemble "Splaiul Nicolae Titulescu," the former Ice Factory is today abandoned, waiting for a chance to come back to life.
Not much is known about this building, apart from the fact that an ice and soda factory used to operate here.
The building displays a remarkable play of volumes emphasized by the use of apparent brick and Neo-classical decorations. Presently, a parasite annex partially obscures the facade towards Jiului Street, but the building itself continues to stun passers-by with its shape and carefully studied proportions.
