There are few details known about the house on 3 Ştefan cel Mare Street. However, according to rare historic photographs, it is assumed that the building existed in the 19th century.
Built in eclectic/historicist style, the four mascarons and ornaments on the facade can be interpreted as symbolising commercial connections and the origin of the house’s owner.
On the other hand, the work of the artist Tina Malajmare for Heritage of Timișoara: Fabric (pilot) project illustrates and draws attention to an estetic problem which is faced not only by Fabric, but by the entire city of Timişoara: the ‘suffocation’ and altering of the historic buildings’ facades with cables, utilities pipes, air conditioning units, etc.
